Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers about our logistics services, transport capacity, nationwide coverage and quotation process.
How Can We Help?
Do you deliver across Kenya and cross-border?
Yes. Kenkos Logistics supports transport and distribution across all 47 counties in Kenya and selected cross-border routes in East and Central Africa. Our regional corridor can extend from Mombasa Port through Nairobi, Malaba / Busia, Kampala in Uganda and Kigali in Rwanda to selected destinations in DR Congo, subject to route, cargo, border, documentation and operating requirements.
What truck capacities are available?
Our transport capability includes 6-ton Isuzu NMR, 8-ton Isuzu NQR, 10-ton Isuzu FRR, 15-ton HOWO NX, and 30-ton HOWO TX Prime Mover with fully enclosed trailer capability. The appropriate vehicle depends on cargo weight, volume, route and handling requirements.
How do I request a quotation?
Use our Request a Quote page and provide your pickup location, destination, cargo type, approximate weight, preferred date and any special handling requirements. The more complete the information, the faster we can assess the movement.
How is the transport or logistics price calculated?
Pricing depends on factors such as distance, vehicle capacity, cargo type and weight, number of trips or delivery points, loading and offloading requirements, route conditions, waiting time and any additional logistics services required.
Can I request a dedicated truck?
Yes. Dedicated transport can be arranged for suitable customer requirements, subject to vehicle availability, route, cargo specifications and agreed commercial terms.
Do you handle container and port-related cargo?
Kenkos can support port-linked and container logistics, including inland road movement and coordination. Where a requirement involves services outside our direct transport operation, we may coordinate with appropriate logistics partners.
Do you provide warehousing services?
Warehousing and fulfilment support can be coordinated according to the customer's requirement. Where facilities or specialist services are provided by operational partners, this will be arranged as part of the agreed logistics solution rather than represented as a Kenkos-owned warehouse.
Can you support recurring distribution contracts?
Yes. We can assess recurring transport and distribution requirements such as scheduled deliveries, multiple destinations, dedicated movements and project-based logistics programmes.
What types of cargo do you transport?
We can assess a broad range of commercial cargo, including FMCG, books and educational materials, manufacturing goods, project materials and general cargo. Acceptance depends on the cargo specifications, legal requirements, suitable vehicle capacity and operating conditions.
Do you transport hazardous or regulated cargo?
Regulated, hazardous or specialised cargo requires additional compliance, equipment and operating controls. Please disclose the exact cargo type when requesting a quote so we can determine whether the movement can be supported and under what requirements.
How will I receive updates about my delivery?
Communication arrangements are agreed for each movement. Customers can receive operational updates through the agreed contact channels during pickup, transit and delivery.
How far in advance should I book transport?
Booking as early as possible is recommended, particularly for heavy trucks, Prime Mover movements, multiple deliveries or project logistics. Urgent requests can still be assessed subject to capacity and operational availability.
Can Kenkos handle loading and offloading?
Loading, offloading and cargo-handling requirements should be stated when requesting a quote. We will clarify what is required at origin and destination and whether additional handling arrangements are needed.
What information should I have before requesting a quote?
Ideally provide the pickup point, destination, cargo description, approximate weight and dimensions, number of loads or drops, required dates and any special loading, offloading, access or documentation requirements.
How can I contact Kenkos Logistics?
You can contact Kenkos Logistics by phone, email or through the enquiry and quotation forms on our website. Our team can assist with transport enquiries, quotations, cargo requirements, route planning and service coordination, and will guide you to the appropriate next step based on your logistics requirement.
